  12. Very interesting... I never put it all together like that, but
  13. it seems highly possible.  I always wondered WHY Mehidi Ali and
  14. Irving Gould seemed to do everything possible to destroy the
  15. Amiga.  Also, at the peak of its rebirth, or so it seemed to
  16. me, as the Amiga was being hailed for its use in Babylon5,
  17. Seaquest DSV, etc.  suddently C= went bankrupt.  Just after the
  18. A4000(T) and A1200 were released.  While new AAA technology was
  19. supposedly working in prototypes.  Everything seemed wonderful
  20. for the Amigas future.  I considered buying C= stock.  Glad I
  21. didn't since, I guess all those people in the C= shareholder
  22. movement lost all their money!!  That was another odd thing..
  23. Many people were buying shares in an attempt to leverage out
  24. Gould and Ali.  
  25. Yes, I definately agree something went awry.  And notice, it is
  26. ONLY at the owners of the Amiga (well, no evidence of AT yet,
  27. but C= for sure).  While the Amiga support companies (Phase5,
  28. Macrosystems) make huge technological and manufacturing advaces
  29. (heck they even produce Dracos because C= wouldn't make a
  30. system good enough).  VERY strange.  If C= had really cared
  31. about its successes, they would have done more research on
  32. accelerators, and gfx cards, and everything else that people
  33. buy for their Amiga.  A lot of times we end up spending more on
  34. periferals than on the base system.  That's where there is good
  35. money to be made.
  36. (NB: Of course, the C= engineers were very dedicated and I have
  37. higest repects for them)
